GlobalGAP
Looking after future generations
GlobalGAP (Good Agricultural Practices) is the internationally recognised standard for farming and horticulture which aims to achieve safe and sustainable production conditions that benefit farmers, retailers, and consumers all over the world. The certification covers:
- Food safety and traceability
- The environment (including biodiversity)
- Employee health, safety, and welfare
- Animal welfare
- Integrated crop management (ICM), integrated pest control (IPC), quality management system (QMS), and hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP).
The requirements of this standard include greater production efficiency. This improves business performance and reduces wastage of vital resources for future generations.
